The main race of this competition, the BUFF® Epic Trail Ultraskymarathon®, started in the early morning of the past Saturday. An amazing event with a total of 195 runners – 28 from the female category and 167 for the male category – with a big audience presence who enjoyed a unique competition which was also very tough until the end.

The upcoming 2016 BUFF® Epic Trail Aigüestortes, scheduled for July 22 to 24 and host of the Skyrunning World Championship, will have the support and collaboration of the Centro Médico La Roca –a medical center that has a renowned sports medicine unit with facilities in Roca de Vallés– which will provide a range of physiotherapy services for all race distances.

The last 3rd July Núria Picas, Pau Bartoló and Gerard Morales were at Intemperie shop in Barcelona to present the 1st edition of the BUFF® Epic Trail Aigüestortes, the BUFF® biggest challenge. These three athletes, members of the BUFF® Pro Team, will run together with other trail running professional athletes as Arnau Julià, Joe Grant, Iker Karrera, Anton Kupricka and Toti Bes.

We’re happy to announce that the BUFF® Epic Trail will give 4 points for The North Face® Ultra Trail du Mont-Blanc® 2015 registration.

After receiving the ITRA evaluation, the BUFF® Epic Trail will become part of the races with qualifying points for The North Face® Ultra Trail du Mont-Blanc®. Every runner receiving this points will be able to use to qualify for any of the races at The North Face® Ultra Trail du Mont-Blanc® 2015.

AN EPIC AND VERY DEMANDING ADVENTURE THAT WILL TEST ATHLETES FROM AROUND THE WORLD IN A UNIQUE ENVIRONMENT.

This trail running race, which will be held on August 2 this year with start and finish race line in the town of Barruera (Vall de Bohi, Alta Ribagorça, Lleida), will cross the National Parc d´Aigüestortes and Estany de Sant Maurici, covering a distance of 100 km by mountain trails with 8,000 m of cumulative and maximum of 56% slopes....
